The Pokémon Company has officially pulled back the curtain on its ambitious plans for Pokémon Day 2026, marking a historic 30-year milestone for the world-renowned franchise. According to an official press release from Pokémon Press, fans can expect a wave of announcements, digital releases, and physical collaborations.
The Main Event: Pokémon Presents
The festivities kick off on February 27, 2026, with a dedicated Pokémon Presents video presentation.
Time: 6:00 a.m. PST / 2:00 p.m. GMT / 3:00 p.m. CET.
Where to watch: Official Pokémon YouTube and Twitch channels. The presentation promises "exciting updates and announcements" covering the entire breadth of the franchise.
Classic Adventures Return to Switch
In a move that fans have long requested, the 2004 Game Boy Advance classics, Pokémon FireRed Version and Pokémon LeafGreen Version, are coming to the Nintendo Switch system.
Availability: Download-exclusive titles available immediately after the Pokémon Presents broadcast.

Brick-Based Battling: LEGO x Pokémon
For the first time in history, the LEGO Group is partnering with Pokémon to launch official sets. Starting February 27, fans can purchase sets featuring iconic characters:

"What’s Your Favorite?" Campaign
To celebrate three decades of pocket monsters, a year-long campaign titled "What’s Your Favorite?" has been launched. This includes a new snapshot feature in Pokémon GO (celebrating its 10th anniversary this year), allowing Trainers to showcase their favorite companions.
